We had all been joking that the dry season never really happened as there has rarely been a day without rain since we arrived in Trinidad. It turned out that we had had a dry season or, at least, a drier season because now that it is rainy season, we are remembering what real rain is like. We are not talking April showers but the kind of rain that makes you question whether a hurricane might be en route.
